Who is AuronPlay?

AuronPlay is a Spanish content creator whose YouTube career began years before he became known for livestreaming. His Twitch channel remains active; at the time of research, Twitch listed more than 17 million followers and recent streams in games including Minecraft and Grand Theft Auto V. These are platform figures that can change. See his Twitch channel and YouTube channel.

Early life and career

Raúl Álvarez Genes was born in Badalona on 5 November 1988. He opened his main YouTube channel in February 2006; in 2015, he told La Vanguardia that he had started uploading out of boredom and only began taking the channel seriously around a year and a half before the interview. 20minutos documents his name, birth date and channel start, while La Vanguardia recounts his own description of his beginnings.

In 2012 he began a series of videos criticising internet culture, using simple editing and a fixed-camera style. 20minutos reports that he later left a graphics and bookbinding company after working there for nine years to focus on YouTube. His early career was built around commentary and comedy before live gaming became central to his output. The 20minutos profile covers these milestones.

Rise to streaming fame

AuronPlay later developed a live audience on Twitch, where event broadcasts became a major part of his public career. One of the clearest milestones came during Squidcraft Games, a Minecraft competition inspired by the television series Squid Game. Streams Charts records his all-time channel peak at 602,956 viewers on 24 January 2022; its event coverage describes the tournament’s 150 Spanish-speaking creators and the high viewership across the week. The channel record and Squidcraft event report give the date and context.

Biggest streaming moments

The Squidcraft Games peak is a dated tracker figure, not a typical audience size. Streams Charts lists 602,956 peak viewers for AuronPlay on 24 January 2022, the final day of the event. The tournament brought together a large group of Spanish-speaking creators in Minecraft and set audience marks for several participants. AuronPlay’s individual figure should not be confused with the event-wide peak, which was higher.

Career timeline

Collaborations and achievements

Squidcraft Games placed AuronPlay alongside other Spanish-language streamers in a shared Minecraft event. Streams Charts reported 150 participants and noted AuronPlay among the channels that set a record during the tournament. The available tracker evidence supports the event participation and peak audience; it does not establish that he won the competition.

His platform mix has changed over time. In October 2026, Twitch’s public channel page showed recent broadcasts and a channel audience above 17 million followers. Those live platform figures are not fixed career achievements, so this profile does not treat them as permanent totals.

Personal life, Andorra and net-worth estimates

Spanish media reported in 2021 that AuronPlay had moved to Andorra, amid a public debate over creators changing residence and tax arrangements. Business Insider described several leading Spanish streamers, including AuronPlay, as having lived there for months. That is historical reporting; I did not find a reliable source confirming his current residence in October 2026. Business Insider’s report provides the dated context.

AuronPlay confirmed in June 2026 that he and Sara Ismael had separated, according to 20minutos’ report on his livestream. The article described the breakup as an announcement from AuronPlay; this profile does not speculate about private details or claim a new relationship. 20minutos reported the confirmation.

No verified net-worth figure is public. Third-party sites publish sharply different estimates: InfluencerFee lists €15 million, while Net Worth Spot estimates about $1 million and says a broader estimate could be $1.4 million. These are not financial disclosures, and the disagreement is a reason not to present any one number as fact. InfluencerFee’s estimate and Net Worth Spot’s estimate are attributed to those sites only.
