Who is DeenTheGreat?
Also styled Deen the Great, Shabazz comes from Tampa, Florida. MMA Weekly reported that he was 25 in February 2026. His exact birth date hasn't been confirmed.
He is better described as an IRL creator than a gaming streamer. Kick is home to his extended live broadcasts, while YouTube carries the video-making side of his career. His linked social accounts include Instagram and X as @DeenTheGreat, and TikTok as @DeenTheGreat1.
What makes him distinctive is the overlap between those worlds. Boxing brings rivalries and recognisable guests; streaming lets viewers spend much longer with the personalities behind them. His marathon format leaves room for training, conversation and unpredictable encounters rather than a tightly packaged show.
Early life and boxing career
In his VladTV interview, published in February 2026, Deen recalled his mother living pay cheque to pay cheque and roughly six children sharing one bedroom in a large blended household. Those details come from his own telling of his childhood.
He also told VladTV that he pursued YouTube after being sacked from Sky Zone, where he said he earned $8 an hour. He subsequently worked in a Verizon call centre during the pandemic. The route from those jobs to crossover boxing began with making videos, not an immediate jump into headline bouts.
2022: Misfits debut and Walid Sharks
Deen made his crossover debut against Evil Hero at the first MF & DAZN X Series event on 27 August 2022, winning by first-round stoppage. YTBoxRec labels it a TKO, while CrossoverRec records a KO at 2:53. The ICB’s official archive identifies the contest as an ICB USA welterweight championship bout.
On 19 November, he stopped Walid Sharks at X Series 003 by TKO at 1:55 of round three. The ICB archive labels that contest an ICB world super-featherweight championship bout. Those are the ICB's own belt names; later reporting refers to him as the Misfits lightweight champion.
2023: Decisions, teamwork and a rematch
He beat Pully Arif by unanimous decision over four rounds on 4 March 2023 at X Series 005. On 22 July, he partnered with former opponent Walid Sharks to defeat YuddyGangTV and Ayye Pap by four-round unanimous decision in X Series 008’s Survivor Tag contest.
Sharks returned to the opposite corner on 14 October at X Series 010, The Prime Card. Deen won their singles rematch by unanimous decision over five rounds. Rival, teammate, then rival again: Sharks became a recurring character in his boxing story.
2024: Defending the Misfits lightweight title
Deen successfully defended his Misfits lightweight championship against Dave Fogarty in Dublin on 31 August 2024. Misfits' X Series 017 results record a TKO at 2:57 of round three in a scheduled five-round bout. MMA Fighting also reported it as a successful title defence.
2025: An exhibition and the Vargas defeat
A Pully Arif rematch at BrandRisk 004 on 1 February 2025 ended in a three-round majority-decision win for Deen, with YTBoxRec classifying it as an exhibition. On 20 December, he lost to Amado Vargas by unanimous decision over six rounds at Misfits Mania. LowKick MMA reported scores of 57–56, 57–56 and 58–55.

His 7–1 crossover tally includes a tag-team bout and an exhibition, so it isn't a conventional professional record. The Vargas contest remained his latest completed bout as of 26 October 2026.
Rise to streaming fame
Deen told VladTV that he began taking YouTube seriously in late 2019 or early 2020, encouraged by creators showing him their earnings. His early experiments included general-knowledge Q&As and truth-or-dare videos, alongside football and other sports material. Street-fight and boxing videos became a more recognisable part of his output.
VladTV’s interview summary identifies a boxing encounter involving a police officer as an early viral breakthrough. Deen credited Keemstar and Fousey with introducing him to KSI after that clip attracted attention. It was a bridge between his online videos and the influencer-boxing world.
Dexerto already identified him as a Kick streamer by May 2024, although that does not establish when he joined. His live output developed around IRL broadcasts rather than a regular video-game schedule. If the category is unfamiliar, our guide to what IRL streaming means explains the format.
His official Kick channel had nearly 528,000 followers as of 26 October 2026. On YouTube, @deenthegreat1 had about 700,000 subscribers as of October 2026, according to Social Blade. Neither total tells you how many people watch a particular broadcast.
Biggest streaming moments
Locked-In-A-Thon
According to Boxing Insider’s account, Deen and Adrien Broner launched Locked-In-A-Thon on 8 July 2026. The original plan was a 45-day, round-the-clock broadcast across both Kick channels from a warehouse gym equipped with training gear and beds. Baller Alert described their joint IRL output under the Crash Out Boyz branding.
By October, broadcast titles were billing the event as 90 days. Streams Charts subsequently listed “The Show Goes On” Day 91 and Day 92 broadcasts on 16 and 17 October. That's how the marathon was billed; it doesn't mean the cameras ran non-stop for 90 days, or that Broner was there throughout.
The audience trackers disagree about its biggest peak. For the San Francisco broadcast dated 9 October 2026, KickGem logged 54,183 peak concurrent viewers, while Streams Charts lists 84,070 on the same date as his Kick record. Neither tracker explains the gap, so treat both as estimates.
Again-A-Thon
Again-A-Thon began on 22 October 2026, bringing another run of extended broadcasts. KickGem recorded 27,048 peak concurrent viewers for Day 2, dated 23 October 2026. His own Kick channel was still running the event under its Day 3 title as of 26 October, so its final length isn't known yet.
Does DeenTheGreat play games?
Not as a regular focus: Deen is primarily an IRL streamer, rather than a gaming specialist. His Kick video page lists recent broadcasts under IRL and Just Chatting, matching Streams Charts’ category history for 16 September to 15 October 2026: about 434 hours of IRL and 238 hours of Just Chatting. Streamer Radar listed around 40 minutes under Fortnite in a 30-day snapshot ending around 15 October, a tiny share of his airtime.
Casino content is a smaller, recurring part of the channel: Streams Charts recorded Slots & Casino on 21 streams, totalling about 28 hours over that same September–October period. His verified Linkme profile also carries a Stake promo code, so he has a promotional tie to Stake.us. No sponsorship deal or its terms have been publicly reported. Casino streams are for adults only.
Collaborations and achievements
Broner is central to Deen’s streaming collaborations. Boxing Insider reported in May 2026 that they had been broadcasting together regularly and that Deen helped Broner obtain Kick verification; Rampage Jackson also appeared during this period. The partnership brought an established boxing personality into Deen’s live world.
Ryan Garcia visited the Locked-In-A-Thon warehouse on 16 July 2026, facing off with Broner and doing pad work while Deen watched, according to Boxing Insider. Later broadcast titles advertised Wiz Khalifa for “Fight Night Tryouts” on 28 September, New Boyz for “2000s Night” on 2 October, and Vitaly for Again-A-Thon on 23 October. Those guests were advertised in the stream titles.
His achievements span boxing titles and a substantial live audience: his two ICB title wins in 2022, the successful Misfits lightweight title defence, and passing 500,000 Kick followers, as shown by his official channel as of 26 October 2026. Personal life, controversies and net worth
The Tiki Ghosn ‘knocked out’ incident
In its February 2026 report, MMA Weekly said Tiki Ghosn struck Deen with an elbow during a confrontation at a party hosted by Rampage Jackson. It described Deen as momentarily knocked out, then getting up and retaliating. The incident was an out-of-ring altercation rather than a boxing loss.
Legal trouble
Dexerto reported in May 2026 that Deen had been arrested in Miami on a felony attempted strong-arm robbery charge following a yacht dispute. He allegedly tried to take a woman’s phone; he had not been convicted.
TMZ reported in August 2026 that he had agreed to a diversion programme, with avoiding jail dependent on meeting its conditions. That report does not establish that he completed the programme.
Net worth and Kick earnings
There is no verified public figure for DeenTheGreat’s net worth or Kick earnings. No confirmed salary, monthly total or contract payment has been disclosed. Third-party tracker estimates are models, not records of his payments, and audience size cannot reveal his personal financial arrangements.
The one published estimate from a major net-worth site is Celebrity Net Worth’s $2 million, updated in September 2026. It notes that only about $75,000 of his fight purses have been publicly disclosed, so the figure is a rough model.
