Few streamers have had a career as loud, as busy or as argued about as xQc. Félix Lengyel is the French-Canadian former Overwatch pro who became the most-watched streamer in Twitch history, then signed one of the biggest deals the industry has seen with Kick. He talks fast, streams for hours and reacts to almost everything, and that's exactly why millions of people tune in.

Who is xQc?
xQc is Félix Lengyel, born on 12 November 1995 in Laval, Quebec, which makes him 30. He is a variety streamer: one broadcast can mix GTA roleplay, Overwatch, reaction videos, news clips and casino sessions, often all in the same day. His fans, known as Juicers, are part of the appeal, and so is his rapid-fire commentary.
He started streaming on Twitch in 2014 and is still there, while also broadcasting on Kick since 2023. As of 26 October 2026 his Twitch channel had about 12.6 million followers, his Kick channel about 1.36 million and his main YouTube channel, xQcOW, around 2.51 million subscribers.
Early life and Overwatch career
Lengyel grew up in Laval, north of Montreal. In a 2021 profile, Business Insider described him as a self-confessed troublemaker at school who liked filming his bike tricks as a child. Blizzard's Overwatch is what turned gaming into a career.
He was picked up by Denial Esports in October 2016 and won tournaments with the team before it disbanded in May 2017. The same players carried on as Arc 6 and reached Overwatch Contenders Season Zero. His big moment came at the 2017 Overwatch World Cup, where Team Canada reached the final before losing to South Korea, and Lengyel was named the tournament's most valuable player.
That earned him a place with the Dallas Fuel for the first season of the Overwatch League in 2018. It went badly. He was suspended for four games after a homophobic remark aimed at Houston Outlaws player Austin 'Muma' Wilmot. In March 2018 he was suspended again and fined $4,000 for insulting the league's casters and spamming an emote in a racially disparaging way. The Fuel released him on 11 March 2018, after he had played six of the team's 16 matches. He kept representing Canada at the World Cup until 2019, but his pro days were effectively over.
Rise to streaming fame
Leaving the league turned out to be the making of him. Streaming full-time on Twitch, Lengyel built a huge daily audience with very long broadcasts and an endless stream of reactions. He signed with Sentinels as a content creator in February 2019, leaving in August 2020 at his own request, according to Reuters, and later joined Luminosity Gaming.
GTA roleplay on the NoPixel server became one of his biggest draws, with his character Jean Paul turning into a fan favourite. By 2021 he was the most-watched streamer on the whole platform: analytics site Streams Charts counted almost 275 million hours watched that year, over 100 million more than anyone else. He stayed on top until 2023, when Dexerto reported he had lost the number one spot for the first time in three years.
Even so, nobody has caught his all-time total. Streams Charts data covering January 2016 to August 2025 put him first in Twitch history with about 834 million hours watched and a peak of around 330,000 viewers, ahead of Gaules and Ibai. The Kick deal
On 16 June 2023 Lengyel announced that he was joining Kick, the Stake-backed rival to Twitch. His agent, Ryan Morrison, told The New York Times it was a two-year contract worth about $70 million, with incentives that could take it to around $100 million. Crucially, it was non-exclusive, so he never had to leave Twitch.
In November 2023, after Ninja suggested the headline figure was misleading, Lengyel told viewers the deal had 'nothing to do with gambling, Stake, crypto, or anything like that'. He said he was paid over 24 months, with a signing bonus and an advance up front. By September 2024 he admitted he didn't know whether he would renew. The original term would have ended around mid-2025, and no renewal terms have been made public. He still streams on both platforms today.
Gambling streams
Casino content is a big and controversial part of his output. Twitch banned streams from unregulated gambling sites in 2022, so Lengyel often ends a Twitch broadcast and carries on with slots or blackjack on Kick. In March 2026 he told fellow streamer StableRonaldo that he gets '$200k flat' for a normal gambling session, however long it lasts, as Dexerto reported.
The amounts involved are huge. In June 2025 he showed stats from his Stake account with over 1.3 million bets and more than $3.5 billion wagered since early 2021. That's the total staked, not money lost. He has said separately that his losses are 'over $100 million'. Gambling streams are for adults only, and these figures come from his own broadcasts.
Collaborations, rivalries and achievements
Lengyel's world overlaps with almost every big name in streaming. He has gambled and opened Counter-Strike 2 cases with StableRonaldo, discussed his finances with Logan Paul and Mike Majlak, and been quizzed by Adin Ross about re-signing with Kick. Fellow Kick streamers, from Adin Ross to newer names like DeenTheGreat, have helped turn the platform into his second home.
His long-running back-and-forth with Pokimane shows the other side. In February 2025 the pair sparred over Twitch and Kick contracts, and in October 2026 he publicly disagreed with her view of protests in France. Arguments like these, played out live, are a big part of why clips of him spread so fast.
Awards have followed the audience. He won Best Variety Streamer at The Streamer Awards in 2022 and the Just Chatting award at the 12th Streamy Awards. In August 2025 he was named Streamer of the Decade at the Esports Awards' one-off Decade Awards in Riyadh.
Personal life, controversies and net worth
Bans and suspensions
Lengyel has been banned or suspended on Twitch several times, for showing explicit content, offensive remarks and copyright problems. The most recent came on 22 June 2026, when a copyright claim over FIFA World Cup footage, which he blamed on a five-second Kylian Mbappé clip, took his channel offline. He carried on streaming on Kick and played it down as a short suspension rather than a real ban.
The Adept legal dispute
His break-up with former partner and fellow streamer Adept turned into a long legal fight. In March 2024 he said he had 'won' every case and that it was 'all over'. Then, in October 2024, Dexerto reported that she had filed a new lawsuit in California repeating earlier claims and adding allegations of abuse, after a similar suit in Texas had been dismissed. These are allegations made in a civil case, and we haven't found a reported outcome.
xQc's net worth
There is no reliable public figure for xQc's net worth, and estimates online range from under $10 million to well over $50 million. The known pieces don't add up to one number. They include the roughly $70 million guaranteed by his 2023 Kick contract, the $200,000 he says he gets per gambling session, and his Twitch, YouTube and sponsorship income. On the other side are the gambling losses of more than $100 million that he has talked about. Anyone quoting an exact figure is guessing.
The most widely quoted estimate comes from Celebrity Net Worth, which put his net worth at $50 million in September 2026. Treat it as an estimate rather than a confirmed figure, because xQc has never disclosed his finances.
