Well. The phrase “elephant in the room” hardly feels appropriate for November 2026 when it comes to game releases, now does it? It’s more like we’re dealing with an entire stampeding herd of the great creatures.

Yes, in case you’ve forgotten (or you somehow didn’t already know, presumably because you’ve just woken up from a twelve-year coma), Grand Theft Auto 6 is set for release this month.

Believe it or not, though, it’s not the only game that’s coming your way over the next thirty days or so, which makes our usual gaming rundown that much less pointless. Here are the best games to check out in November 2026!

Zero Parades: Director’s Cut (PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series - November 3rd)

Alright, so we’re cheating a little bit with this one. Not only has Zero Parades: For Dead Spies already been out on PC for a number of months, but the Director’s Cut version has already graced that platform as well.

Still, there are plenty of gamers out there who simply don’t have access to a PC, so if you’ve yet to experience ZA/UM’s latest RPG extravaganza, this should provide the perfect opportunity to do so.

If you’ve played Disco Elysium, you’ll know roughly what to expect here, namely a richly-written world full of quirky and eccentric characters, plenty of choices to make, and lots of satisfying RPG build variety.

Theos: Cities Of Myth (PC - November 4th)

One of three PC-exclusive games to grace this list, Theos: Cities of Myth might make up for the fact that Grand Theft Auto 6 isn’t launching on PC, at least not within its initial release window.

Dotemu and Triskell Interactive’s game is one for fans of old-school city-builders like Pharaoh, allowing you to pledge yourself to one of seven different Greek deities as you construct a thriving metropolis worthy of their name.

This being a city-builder, you can expect to be across all the particulars of managing a city, so if looking after production chains and market facilities doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, it’s safe to avoid this one.

World of Warcraft: Forever (PC - November 4th)

If you haven’t been keeping up with the buzz, it might be hard for you to figure out exactly what World of Warcraft: Forever is, so allow us to help you on that score.

Forever is essentially a brand new branch of World of Warcraft that takes the gameplay and setting of the original 2004 MMORPG and infuses it with brand new quests, storylines, and more.

Effectively, it’s an olive branch for those who thought Classic was the best thing World of Warcraft has done in years and who could do without all of the modern nonsense the MMO has introduced.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Switch 2 - November 5th)

In what is perhaps one of the gutsiest moves we can imagine Nintendo making, the gaming giant’s upcoming Ocarina of Time remake is set to launch just two weeks before Grand Theft Auto 6.

Of course, we’re sure that many of the folks who are looking forward to blowing up tanks and committing all kinds of horrendous crimes in GTA 6 won’t necessarily be the same ones clamouring to check out Zelda, but still.

Expect a lovingly-reimagined version of the classic 1998 N64 adventure, complete with new visuals, gameplay improvements (hooray for the Water Temple!), and more.

Ashes of the Singularity II (PC - November 10th)

So far, it’s all been about the action (well, relatively speaking, in World of Warcraft’s case), but Ashes of the Singularity II is coming along in mid-November to mop up those of a more strategically-minded bent.

This massive-scale RTS promises a dizzying sense of scope, as you can zoom out beyond individual skirmishes to see how battles as a whole are progressing and make decisions at a much higher level.

The developers have earned a bit of a black mark against their names thanks to the use of generative AI during the development of this one, but if that’s not meaningful to you, this is going to be a real strategy smorgasbord.

Shrek 2 Remastered (PC, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2/Switch - November 10th)

Now here’s a real blast from the past. The original Shrek 2 tie-in video game graced the PS2 and various other platforms all the way back in 2004, and now it’s coming back for modern systems.

It’s essentially a fun, inoffensive little co-op button-masher that should provide a few hours of entertainment for you and a friend, especially if you’re particularly nostalgic for the days of PS2 gaming.

Of course, since it’s a remaster, you can also expect new textures, an enhanced UI, and a few other quality-of-life improvements as well.

Barbie Rewind (PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch/Switch 2 - November 12th)

Around this time of the month, counterprogramming starts to creep in as a motive for publishers’ release decisions. Hence Barbie Rewind, which is targeted at those who either cannot or absolutely do not intend to play GTA 6.

Barbie Rewind is a compilation of sixteen Barbie games that were originally released between 1991 and 2007 (thanks, Wikipedia), and it also boasts a hitherto-unreleased Barbie game for you to check out.

You already know whether you’re interested in this one or not (or, indeed, whether your kids might be), but it’s nice to see these relics of the past being preserved for future generations, at least.

Grand Theft Auto 6 (PS5, Xbox Series - November 19th)

Well, here it is. The great galloping behemoth that is going to completely take over the gaming industry and crush all of its rivals underfoot by making a gatrillion dollars, although Rockstar will probably somehow still find ways to lay off staff after its release.

In all seriousness, though, we are very excited to take a look at how Rockstar’s game design philosophy has evolved over the last few years; after all, it has been eight years (!) since the studio’s last game and thirteen (!!) since its last GTA.

This one will revolve around protagonists Jason and Lucia and is promising some pretty impressively realistic gameplay systems, although whether it can pull off those lofty promises remains to be seen.
