Anime games are the talk of the town. Sales indicate that more and more people are now turning towards anime games, largely due to the popularity of anime TV series.

A few years ago, their popularity was confined to a few countries, like Japan. However, today, the demand for anime games is on a constant rise and they are sold like hot cakes even in the US.

If you are new to the world of anime, or if you’re looking at some good titles to try, then you have landed on the right page. Given below are six of the best anime games you can enjoy on PS4.

Without much ado, let’s get to know more about these games:

    Table of Contents
    1. 1. Dragon Ball Xenoverse
    2. 2. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4
    3. 3. One Piece: Burning Blood
    4. 4. Attack on Titan
    5. 5. Gravity Rush 2
    6. 6. Berserk and the Band of the Hawk
    7. Conclusion

    1. Dragon Ball Xenoverseblank

    blank

You must be living under a rock if you have not heard of our first pick, Dragon Ball. It is one of the most popular fighting role playing games out there.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse takes us to another realm for us to explore by enabling us to create our own custom avatars and revisit famous battles from the highly acclaimed anime series. While Goku is the most popular character in the game, you can also try other characters, and even create your own custom avatars.

The game also includes the mysterious Toki Toki City for us to explore. The gameplay is very well defined and you will definitely fall in love with the graphics.

Released in Feb 2015, the game is still very popular despite having a sequel.

The game received mixed to average reviews when it came out, however it was able to sell a huge number of copies making it popular and proving that the fans had loved it. The game’s only drawback was the lag when you go for game battles, but this was corrected in the sequel.

    2. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4blank

    blank

One of the most iconic and legendary animes out there, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. Released in the first quarter of 2016, this game became an instant hit and is expected to have a sequel soon.

The series was extremely popular due to its emotional content, something you see in this game as well. High quality graphics mixed with great sound and storytelling make this game a good choice. If you ever wanted to be a ninja, then this is your chance to be.

The game allows you to pick from one of several characters from Naruto world. The roster is huge and even includes heroes from The Last: Naruto the movie. Those nostalgic memories will come back as you play through each mission and Jiraya sensei would certainly be proud of you defeating evil and pursuing peace, as this is the main gameplay. Pay special attention to voiceovers and character interactions as they are pure gold. You will enjoy this game even if you haven’t watched the series.

    3. One Piece: Burning Bloodblank

    blank

He may not be Jack Sparrow, but he’s got gears way stronger than any other pirate out there! He’s the most famous pirate in the Anime World of One Piece. He’s none other than Monkey D Luffy!

Released in April 2016, this game offers great graphics, and has a unique fighting system that allows players to come up with stronger attacks by using their powers. They can also block attacks, however all this will take some time to master as this is not a very easy game.

Other than the graphics and interesting game play, the ability to play in teams is also one of the game’s strongest points.

    4. Attack on Titan

blankBased on one of the best critically acclaimed modern animes out there, this game is unique in a lot of ways. Here you walk into a battle against naked giants who are willing to pick you up and bite your head off.

This game is said to be based on the concept of David and Goliath, as you fight against big giants but you’re skilled enough to do so.

Attack on Titan will keep you gripping your seats, making you ask for another go at the Titan villains. Protect humanity and defeat the Titans in this fast paced game that offers you great graphics and gameplay.

Thanks to the fast and fun combat system devised by the developers, slaying titans can never get boring. If you are a fan of the series, you will be impressed by how close the game is to what you have seen on the show. The characters remain exactly how they appeared on TV, making this very interesting to play.

    5. Gravity Rush 2blank

    blank

When you think about it, Gravity Rush 2 is not exactly an anime game, but since it’s good and its inspiration came from anime series, it deserves a place on this list.

You traverse the battlefield using different types of gravity attack as you join Kat with Raven by her side in order to find out the mystery of her origins. The storyline is intricate and that’s the main attraction in this game. You look forward to where it will take you. Plus, since it is not based on any series, you are taken by surprise at every twist and turn the game has to offer.

You must master three types of gravity attack styles while fighting evil bosses. The graphics are amazing as they bring out each character to life in magnificent detail.

    6. Berserk and the Band of the Hawkblank

    blank

The last game on this list, Berserk and the Band of the Hawk has been inspired by the highly acclaimed manga and Anime “Berserk”. It’s A Berserk themed spinoff of Omega Force’s Dynasty Warriors; both known for their excellent storyline and gameplay respectively. Released in October 2016, this is not the most popular game on the list but is one of the highest rated anime titles out there. And once you play this game, you will realize why.

Hack and Slash your way through with this fierce blend of Berserk and Warriors with a nice concentration on anime being an important part of the game. The game starts in the Golden Age Arc and ends in the Hawk of the Millennium Empire Arc, while staying true to the manga it is based on.

We’re sure you will enjoy it with great graphics and an amazing storyline, it’s another great game to be played.

    Conclusion

If you are a fan of anime, you will definitely enjoy all the games on this list. And if this is your first time trying such games, these six titles are a good option to start. They are easily available and made for a larger audience.

All these offer exciting moments and will take you to a different universe. The graphics are a highpoint and you will also enjoy the twists and turns these games have to offer.

So let us know how you like these games, and if you have suggestions feel free to comment.
