Fallout is a series of post-apocalyptic RPGs set in the United States. The heroes survived a nuclear war and are trying to preserve the remnants of their former military glory. The Plot of Fallout: New Vegas
In the center of the plot is the city of Vegas. Despite numerous nuclear bombings, the town remained virtually untouched. Here a new society, the New California Republic, or NCR, has formed, which advertises the values of the old state system.
The city has light and clean water, thanks to the work of Hoover Dam. However, most other areas of the United States are experiencing difficulties with this.
The Legion Society opposes the NCR. It is led by a man named Caesar, who glorifies dictatorship and seeks to enslave every other civilization.
At the center of the confrontation is a courier who is unfortunate enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. You will take control of him in Fallout: New Vegas.
In general, the gameplay is practically no different from other parts of the franchise. But here, the developers have introduced several innovations worth dwelling on. Since most of the events take place in Vegas, of course, there was some gambling.
What Gambling Activities are Available in Vegas
On the famous Strip in New Vegas, you will find casinos and bars whose owners will gladly rid you of the accumulated caps. If your character does not have the “Luck” skill, it is better not to go to the casino – there is every chance of being left without money.

Blackjack
As in an actual card game, your goal is to collect “21” in your hands and beat the dealer. Each card is assigned a certain number of points:

- Face cards (king, queen, jack) – 10 points;
- Ace – 1 or 11 points.

The goal of the caravan game is to kill the enemy by collecting many cards with numbers. It is important to avoid two outcomes:
- The sum of points is less than 21.
- The sum of points exceeds 26.
How to Increase Your Chances of Winning at Gambling
The main attribute that will be helpful in a casino is luck. For the wheel of fortune to turn in your direction during gambling, the luck indicator must be at the level of “8” and no less. In this case, you will only be fortunate in slot machines and card games.
If you develop the “Luck” attribute to 10, you can forget about losing. For this, you will have to work very hard.
In the game universe, there are unique clothes and other attributes that can improve the “Luck” indicator. Here are a few options you can use:
- Implant “Luck” – permanently increases the attribute by 1 point. You can purchase it from Dr. Usanagi at the Medical Office in New Vegas. The cost of upgrading will cost you 4000 caps. The purchase is worth the investment – successful casino games will quickly cover all expenses.
- Ability “Intensive training.” It will increase the attribute by 1 point.
