With the arrival of June, summer well and truly begins, and as we’ve said here before, there’s no better way to celebrate warmer weather and longer nights than by staying indoors and playing some video games.
We kid, of course. Traditionally speaking, June is a good time to rest and catch up on your backlog; the big summer releases aren’t quite kicking in yet, but the glut of spring hits is behind us.
That’s not to say there aren’t great games to check out in June, obviously, and we’re about to take you through the cream of the crop. Here are the best games coming your way in June 2026!
The 7th Guest Remake (PC, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch – June 4th)

It’s a month of remakes this month, and we’re kicking things off with The 7th Guest Remake, a reimagined version of a classic FMV adventure game that’s sure to give you a nostalgic kick if you lived through those heady days.
While the original’s shonky video-based charm will remain wholly intact, you can look forward to newly-revamped puzzle mechanics and visuals, making this an ideal way to experience the adventure for the first time.
This one’s got its work cut out for it when it comes to satisfying a legion of nostalgic fans, so let’s hope it proves itself up to the task when it launches at the start of the month.
Tour de France 2026 (PC, PS5, Xbox Series – June 4th)

Tour de France 2026 is one of those games you’ve already made your mind up about; you’re either waiting for it with bated breath or you’re barely even aware of its existence.
Created by Cyanide Studio, the Tour de France series admirably and accurately recreates the breakneck bike race each year with dutiful conviction, and this year promises to be no different.
You can expect plenty of licensed cyclists, a full recreation of the iconic race route, and, of course, lots and lots of cycling. Just don’t expect any monsters, sidequests, or epic stories about good and evil, yeah?
Swan Song (PC – June 4th)

June 4th is turning out to be a pretty busy day, eh? If you’re not feeling the realistic stylings of Tour de France or the FMV spookiness of The 7th Guest, this is one you might want to take a look at.
Swan Song is a relaxing, soothing puzzle game in which you’ll be guiding a tiny swan to the other side of a music box by arranging blocks as part of a scale. It’s a sweet concept, and we can imagine it gets (gently!) fiendish towards the end.
However, it’s also seemingly telling a story about a person’s life, so if you’re looking for something a bit more narratively satisfying, this could be the game for you. Admittedly, we’re just excited about the whole “bird puzzle” aspect, but we’ll take the story too!
Gothic 1 Remake (PC, PS5, Xbox Series – June 5th)

This one’s been a long time in the making. Gothic 1 Remake started life as a demo to gauge interest in an eventual full release, and as you can probably guess, that interest was certainly piqued.
That initial demo release was a little rocky, especially for long-time fans of the original Piranha Bytes game, but lots of polishing has happened since then, so the full game should be a little more palatable.
Gothic 1 Remake promises slightly janky RPG shenanigans galore, so if you don’t like games that hold your hand excessively, this one is very much for you.
Solarpunk (PC, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 – June 8th)

Solarpunk represents the latest indie effort to construct a survival game that takes place on an archipelago of floating islands, but unlike Worlds Adrift and its ilk, this one isn’t massively multiplayer.
Either solo or co-op, you’ll conduct the usual survival business – gathering resources, building structures, and exploring your surroundings – in a charming-looking skybound world.
Rather unusually for the survival genre, this one also isn’t Early Access, so you should be able to enjoy the full package right from the get-go.
Denshattack! (PC, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 – June 17th)

Denshattack! is one of those games that’s rather difficult to sum up as an elevator pitch, but that just makes us all the more excited to check it out.
In moments like these, we like to crib directly from the Steam description, in which the devs describe Denshattack! as “a fast-paced, off-the-rails ride through a colourful Japanese dystopia”. Sounds about right.
If you like weird Japanese oddities from the PS2 era, as well as zany 3D collectathon Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom, then we can imagine you’re going to find a heck of a lot to enjoy here.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales (PC, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 – June 18th)

We’ll admit that we’re mainly excited about this one because of its unwieldy title, but the action RPG goodness contained within certainly doesn’t hurt either.
Square Enix’s much-loved HD-2D style returns in this one, but rather than providing the backdrop for one of the aesthetic’s signature turn-based adventures, it’s all about the hacking and the slashing this time around.
If you want to know whether this one is up your alley or not, you can check out a demo across all of the platforms it’ll be available on right now.
Star Fox (Switch 2 – June 25th)

We’re very excited for the Switch 2 remake of Star Fox 64, mostly because It’s nice to see Nintendo finally doing something worthwhile with the Star Fox IP (we’re very much not counting The Super Mario Galaxy Movie).
Despite its name, this isn’t a remake of the original Star Fox for the SNES, although given that it’s a rail shooter that stars Fox, Falco, and the rest of the Star Fox squadron, it doesn’t really matter which plot it’s riffing off.
Expect plenty of rail shooter action, complete with revamped visuals and some nice gameplay improvements, but don’t expect a complete reinvention of the wheel.
