About The Game

Welcome to a frosty, fun-filled winter wonderland where your snowball-throwing skills are put to the test! In “Winter Snowball Game”, you’re tasked with hitting moving targets with snowballs while navigating an increasingly challenging environment. It’s a game of accuracy, timing, and a little bit of luck as you try to climb the levels and achieve the highest score.

🎯 Objective

The main goal is to hit as many targets as possible with your snowballs. Each successful hit earns you points and helps you advance to higher, more challenging levels.

 

🖱️ How to Play

  1. Start the Game: Click the “PLAY” button on the splash screen to begin.
  2. Throw Snowballs:
    • Use your mouse to aim.
    • Click anywhere on the game screen to throw a snowball from your player’s position (the small figure at the bottom-center) towards your mouse cursor.
  3. Navigate Instructions:
    • If you need a reminder of the rules, click the “Instructions” button below the game canvas.
    • Click the “X” button or the “Instructions” button again to close the instructions screen.

 

📈 Levels & Progression

The game gets progressively harder as you advance through the levels:

  • Level Up: You level up after every 5 successful hits on targets.
  • Increasing Difficulty:
    • Targets will appear more frequently and move faster.
    • Targets will have more random movement patterns (vertical bobbing).
  • Level 5 – Obstacles Appear!
    • Rocks and trees will start scrolling across the screen.
    • Hitting an obstacle with a snowball ends the game!
  • Level 10 – Penguins & Snowfall!
    • Friendly (but dangerous if hit!) penguins will start waddling across the screen.
    • Hitting a penguin with a snowball ends the game!
    • A gentle snowfall begins, adding to the wintery atmosphere.
    • Your player character will start moving slowly side-to-side, requiring you to adjust your aim.
  • Level 15 – Blizzard Conditions!
    • The snowfall intensifies into a blizzard, reducing visibility and making it harder to spot targets and obstacles.
    • The player’s side-to-side movement might also increase slightly.
  • Max Level: The game currently progresses up to Level 20.

 

🏆 Scoring

  • Hits: Each time you successfully hit a target with a snowball, your “HITS” score increases by 1.
  • Misses: If a snowball goes off-screen without hitting anything, it counts as a “MISS.”
  • Throws: Tracks the total number of snowballs you’ve thrown.

 

☠️ Game Over Conditions

The game will end if:

  1. You hit an obstacle (rock or tree) with a snowball (from Level 5 onwards).
  2. You hit a penguin with a snowball (from Level 10 onwards).

When the game is over, your final score and the level you reached will be displayed. You can then choose to “Play Again.”

✨ Tips for Success

  • Lead Your Shots: Targets are moving, so aim slightly ahead of them, especially at higher levels.
  • Anticipate Movement: Pay attention to the random vertical bobbing of targets and the side-to-side movement of your player at higher levels.
  • Prioritize Threats: While hitting targets is key, avoiding obstacles and penguins is crucial to stay in the game.
  • Stay Calm Under Pressure: As the screen gets busier and the blizzard rolls in, try to maintain your focus!
