The Best Racing Wheels For PC In 2024

If you’re a racing fan and a PC gamer, then you owe it to yourself to pick up a truly excellent racing wheel.

As any racing fan will tell you, racing wheels augment the simulation experience tremendously; you haven’t truly enjoyed a racing game until you’ve done so at the controls of a great racing wheel.

There are plenty of options and brands out there, however, and it can be hard to know which one you should opt for.

Here are the best racing wheels for PC in 2024!

    Table of Contents
    1. Logitech G Pro – best wheel overall
    2. Thrustmaster TS-XW Racer – best premium wheel
    3. Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro – best premium wheel
    4. Thrustmaster T128 – best budget wheel
    5. Hori Racing Wheel Apex – best budget wheel
    6. Logitech G923 – best mid-range wheel
    7. Thrustmaster T248 – best mid-range wheel

Logitech G Pro – best wheel overall

    blank

Logitech’s G Pro range is a line of premium gaming accessories intended for those who are serious about PC gaming, and that extends to the G Pro wheel as well.

The construction here is excellent; you’re getting a truly high-quality wheel that feels hefty and responsive, which you’d expect given the eye-watering price point.

Logitech’s Direct Drive and TRUEFORCE technologies make this wheel feel staggeringly immersive while you’re racing, and it feels nice to hold in your hands as well.

If you’re already spending close to £1000 on the wheel itself, we think it’s also worth adding a set of Logitech’s racing pedals, as they enhance the experience even further.

Thrustmaster TS-XW Racer – best premium wheel

    blank

If money is no object, then the Thrustmaster TS-XW Racer is the best racing wheel money can buy on PC.

Created alongside auto company Sparco, the TS-XW is a replica of that company’s famous P310 flat racing wheel, so you know you’re getting a high-quality product.

It also comes complete with 40-watt brushless Force Feedback, an embedded cooling system, and a huge angle of rotation so that you don’t get stuck while you’re making tricky turns.

To put it simply, this is the best racing wheel for PC on the market right now, so pick this up if you don’t mind the hefty price tag attached to it.

Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro – best premium wheel

    blank

If, for whatever reason, the TS-XW Racer doesn’t speak to you, then this option from Fanatec is another excellent premium racing wheel for PC (with a premium price tag attached!).

Every one of Fanatec’s racing wheels is compatible with PC, so even though you’re going to see PlayStation symbols adorning this wheel’s face, you can still play it on PC.

Fanatec’s GT DD Pro doesn’t use belts or gear drives to attach the wheel to the motor shaft; instead, the two are directly connected, providing a more tangible sense of feedback and weight.

Give this one a look if you want the most immersive racing wheel out there, regardless of what it might cost.

Thrustmaster T128 – best budget wheel

    blank

If you’re going to pick up a racing wheel and you’re serious about getting a good peripheral, then the word “budget” has slightly different connotations than it might elsewhere.

As such, you might baulk at the Thrustmaster T128’s price tag if you’re expecting something cheaper, but trust us when we say that this one punches well above its weight class.

As you’d expect from a famous name like Thrustmaster, the T128 delivers on quality thanks to its Force Feedback system, and it packs in 20% more power than the previous T150 models, so this is a hefty wheel indeed.

Technically, this one’s been designed for PlayStation, but it’s also compatible with PC.

Hori Racing Wheel Apex – best budget wheel

    blank

Much like the GT DD Pro, although Hori’s Racing Wheel Apex proclaims compatibility with PlayStation consoles, it can also be used with PC, so it’s ideal if you’re both a PC and a PlayStation gamer.

Since this one bears a budget price tag, some of the core features present on many other racing wheels are missing; you won’t find force feedback, for instance, which makes this a slightly less immersive wheel.

However, given that you’re not going to be paying through the nose for it, the Racing Wheel Apex makes for an excellent beginner’s entry option or a good backup wheel.

You probably won’t want to use this wheel as your daily driver (no pun intended) if you’re serious about racing wheels, but it’s a good secondary choice.

    Logitech G923 – best mid-range wheel

    blank

The Logitech G923 comes with Logitech’s signature “TRUEFORCE” feedback system which “connects directly to in-game physics”, according to Logitech.

This means that when you’re colliding with another car, taking a particularly hair-raising turn, or pushing your accelerator for maximum speed, you’ll feel it via the wheel or the excellent included pedals.

It’s hard to find a PC racing wheel that feels more realistic and connected to the action than the G923; it manages to outclass several of its peers despite its lower price.

If you’re a PC gamer, you’ll already know Logitech is usually a byword for quality, so trust us and pick this one up. You won’t be disappointed.

    Thrustmaster T248 – best mid-range wheel

    blank

Surprise surprise, it’s yet another great racing wheel from Thrustmaster, the company that has made a name for itself creating superb racing game accessories for fans across many years.

The T248 sits at a similar price point to the Logitech G923, and although the construction could use a little work, the T248 does boast great feedback and an excellent set of pedals.

If you’re looking for the best possible quality Thrustmaster has to offer, this wheel probably won’t quite satisfy, but when considering its price point, you’re getting a very solid wheel indeed.

We’d recommend pushing the wallet out a little to upgrade to the G923 if you can, but if money is tight and your budget doesn’t extend beyond the T248’s price point, you won’t be settling.
