Do you love spine-chilling games? In the gaming industry today, there are many games based on horror movies or stories. When it comes to gaming, it is all about entertainment and fun! So, from time to time, a good horror game is more than welcome. Looking for some spooky fun? Check out some of the top horror games below:

    Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

You must have heard of or played the Resident Evil game series! Capcom brings you Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Released in 2017, it is a survival horror game developed for Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It is the sequel to games like Resident Evil 5 or Resident Evil 6 which were more action-oriented. This one is like a return to the roots as it is more about exploration.

While playing this game, you can control Ethan Winters from a first-person perspective as he searches for his missing wife at Baker house. Even if he is a civilian with combat skills, he can arm himself with various weapons like chainsaws, shotguns or flamethrowers. He also has a humanoid form of fungus called Molded. He faces the Bakers who are a cannibal family. As he progresses, he fights enemies and solves puzzles. This game has sold over 5 million copies worldwide by March 2018!

    Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Looking for more spookiness? Try Amnesia: The Dark Descent! It is developed by Frictional Games, released in 2010. It is a survival horror video game available on platforms like: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and PlayStation 4. This game is not only about being trapped in a place infested by monsters. Your aim is also to guide the main protagonist, Daniel to salvation while maintaining his sanity.

Daniel must stay out of the darkness and run away from scary monsters. It is impossible to fight them as there are no weapons! The monsters can pop up anytime and each dark room is a witness to some unexplainable and scary event which drains Daniel’s sanity even further. Look out for the infamous “Water Part” which many players find difficult to get through. The best way to enjoy this game is by wearing headphones, so that you do not miss the sound effects.

Stay in the same spooky mood with Bloodshot Slot at Moon Bingo! Created by Pariplay, it is based on the 1990’s comic book of the same title. It comes with 5 reels and 40 paylines. Meet Bloodshot, the superhero who uses the power of nanites in his blood to gain superhuman strength and speed. He also has the power to heal himself. Find blood red reels set against a backdrop showing destruction and make the most of its various features. Enjoy this slot on any type of device at Moon Bingo!

    Until Dawn

Want to continue the scary adventure? Check out Until Dawn! Powered by Supermassive Games, it is a horror adventure video game released in 2015 on PlayStation 4. It is set in Western Canada where a group of 8 teenagers decides to spend a night in a cabin on Blackwood Mountain, following the disappearance of the 2 twin sisters of one of their friends.

On their arrival, they are confronted with a madman from whom they must survive until sunrise. During the gameplay, players must alternate between the 8 characters and make critical decisions along the way. These decisions alter the game’s outcome in different ways, resulting in various scenarios. The game won different awards in 2015 and 2016!

    Dead Space 3

Have you tried the Dead Space game series? One of its instalment is Dead Space 3! It is another survival horror game by Visceral Games released in 2013. It is the third instalment following Dead Space 1 and 2. On this game, Isaac Clarke teams up with John Carver, an EarthGov Sergeant to travel to Tau Volantis, an ice-covered planet. Their mission is to end the Marker and Necromorph threat.

The story is set in 2314 on Tau Volantis where you can see an irregularly shaped moon. When trying to retrieve the mysterious Codex for Dr. Earl Serrano, Sam Ackerman dies in an avalanche and so, his colleague Tim Kaufman is forced to report alone to General Mahad. The latter executes Kaufman, purges the Codex data and commits suicide. The mission of Isaac Clarke and John Carver begins 200 years later. Find out more when playing Dead Space 3, a successful game with positive reviews.

These are some of the top horror games that are worth trying if you love some spooky entertainment. There are yet many others that are equally great due to their 3D graphics and stunning sound effects.
