    Video Game Inspired Slots

Slot game designers take inspiration from a whole number of different elements of popular culture. Whether that films, music, tv or books, if they find a good concept, they will turn it into a slot. This helps to help induct players into games as it is easier to adjust to the gameplay you at least partially recognise. With this in mind, it is unsurprising that video games have proved fertile ground for online slots, as naturally, there are existing parallels between to the two from the get-go. We take a look at some of the best slots out there with video game inspired themes.

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Considering it is one of the best-selling games in the video game market, it was a no-brainer for designers to turn it into a slot game and attract video gamers to a new way to play the immensely popular war game. Slot game designers opted for the Modern Warfare version of the game and they have incorporated many elements of the original. The bonus game allows you to shoot enemies, while air strike multipliers, grenades that give you random wins and mines that work as wilds are all included in the base game.

    Street Fighter

The Street Fighter series preceded the rise of online casinos and in fact, a real-world slot of the fighting games existed already. As such, it was natural that it would become an online slot too, particularly as updated versions of the game are hitting the market frequently. It finally happened a couple of years back and you will recognise many of the characters from the games, particular Bison, who, alongside another you choose, works as a wild. Bison also appears in the games bonus feature which sees him battling it out with the character you chose.

    Tomb Raider

Another no-brainer owing to its existing popularity on the video game market was Tomb Raider. Lara Croft is naturally the prominent feature of this game, with her appearing in different stances on the reels, with the Tomb Raider logo being the wild and highest paying symbol. Trigger the bonus game and it is you who becomes the Tomb Raider though. You will be taken to a second screen and must hunt out different cash sums hidden in idols on the screen.

    Resident Evil

The zombie-fuelled nightmare is notorious for its dark lighting and nail-biting gameplay that had players hearts racing. You can enter this hellscape in slot form too, complete with the dark and eerie feel of the video game. As well as winning cash on the reels, you will have to fight for your life in the bonus game and fend off enemies by shooting them, earning multipliers as you do so.

    Hitman

Venture into the criminal underworld with this game inspired by the modern classic Hitman game. Guns and drugs cover the reels but of course, it is the cash you are after. Wilds trigger short visuals for you to enjoy which also expand to cover more reels and there are two bonus games. One where you can get double winnings and another where you take aim and target to cash in your bounty.

Have a look for these at your local casino now.
